Today, I'm gonna share something important to all of you. I'm gonna tell you exactly how I create Driver Backup for my laptop using Portable Driver Genius.

Portable Driver Genius application a tiny Utility that allows you to create a backup of all your important third party Windows system drivers. This tool can be useful for anyone that might need to reformat or reinstall Windows but doesn’t want to hunt down all of the necessary drivers at post install. Driver Genius copies your computers third party system drivers to it’s own “Backup Drivers” directory, making a backup that is easy to retrieve later.

First, you are going to have this excellent application. Get it here >> Portable Driver Genius.

After the download finish, extract it. Double click on the Driver Genius icon to start the application.

Here's what main windows looks like:-

After that, go to Option > Backup Type > EXE Auto installer.

Then, check or tick the drivers that you want to backup like drivers for display, processor, graphic card and so on. You may check all drivers to make your job easier.

After that, choose your Backup driver location like D:/Driver backup. Press Start Backup button to start the process.

Done ! IF you want to reinstall all the drivers ( after you formating your OS ), just double click MyDrivers.exe

• Search for browser.tabs.tabMinWidth key. default value is 100.
• To disable tab scrolling completely, set the value to 0. To make more tabs fit before scrolling gets activated, set that number to 50 (or lower).

Since the launch of the Zune prior to the holiday season in 2006, the Zune has claimed the number two position for all hard drive based mp3 players behind the Apple iPod. There are several opinions on whether the Zune can continue to be a player in the digital music player market. This review will discuss the features offered by the Zune and the author's opinion on the Zune's future.

As a previous iPod user I have been extremely pleased with the Zune. Although the Zune software was a bit difficult to install, since overcoming the initial installation issues everything has worked well. The Zune offers three different color options to meet your personal taste, you can choose between brown, black, or white. The large three inch viewing screen is a great feature for watching video or viewing pictures and being able to change the orientation from horizontal to vertical comes in handy.

The 30 GB hard drive provides more than enough storage for music, video and photos. You are able to store up to 7,500 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 100 hours of video. I highly recommend signing up for the Zune Pass music subscription for $14.99 per month which allows unlimited downloads to your Zune player. As a former user of Napster, I never found the subscription to be a valuable feature because it was only offered for products with smaller hard drives, which meant that you had to constantly delete songs in order to add new songs. That is not a problem with the large 30 GB hard drive on the Zune.

Another added feature provided by the Zune is the built in FM-tuner. Although I rarely use this feature, it is nice to have if you want to be able to listen to a local radio station instead of your stored files.

One feature of the Zune that I do not see much value in is the ability to share music with other Zune players wirelessly. Once a song is sent to another Zune, the user can only listen to the track three times within a three day period, then the song expires and is no longer playable unless it is flagged and purchased from the Zune marketplace. I recommend disabling this feature because it decreases battery life.

Overall, I would recommend the Zune to anyone looking to purchase a new mp3 player. Although, the wheel design is not really a click wheel like the famous iPod design, the product is user-friendly and easy to navigate from menu to menu. It has all of the normal features such as shuffle, repeat, and play all so you don't have to keep clicking once a song completes..

I fully expect the Zune to continue to catch up with the iPod in the hard drive based mp3 player marketplace. According to thestreet.com, Microsoft is planning a new marketing and advertising blitz for the spring and will be offering new colors and a bigger splash with their product features. With the money of Bill Gates behind such a strong product, it only makes sense that the Zune will continue to close the gap with Apple.

Lately, a lot of my friend's computer have been infected by BrO_AcT worm/virus. And it cause them a lot of trouble to get rid of this new virus. Moreover, the information on the Net is still very limited since it is a new virus. Recently, I've found the facts about this virus on the Net and want to share with you so that you will know if you've been a victim or not.

1)What is BrO_AcT ?

Symantec AV -> identify it as W32.sillyDC.
DrWeb CureIT -> identify it as Win32.HLLW.Broact
TrenMicro -> identify it as WORM_VB.BHE
Panda AV -> identify it as W32/SexyGirl.A.worm
Avira -> identify it as Worm/VB.DH.1

2)How it Spreads ?

Normally it spread via removable storage devices(USB drive) . Infected thumb drive will show these files: "MySexy.exe", "User.exe" and "Sexy.Dat".

3)Symptomps

-Popup box appears after login into the Windows, with the title "BrO_AcT.exe". It contains a message but I don't remember what it is written.
-Look at your title bar. An infected hardisk will show the folder name + [:Restricted by BrO_Act:]
- When you try to open C:\Windows\System32 folder, explorer close itself.
- Right click My Computer, select Properties, select Computer, click Change button, you find that your computer name has been changed to "ReAct_User"
-Your antivirus has been deactivated.
-You can't access Task Manager, Regedit, Msconfig, Folder option, and Command prompt.

4)How Do I Confirm that I'm Infected ?

Run Hijackthis. These are the entries added:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\BrO_AcT.exe
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe "C:\WINDOWS\default__.pif"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [System] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\BrO_AcT.exe

5)What Will This Virus Do or Create in Your Computer ?

It will create and add the following files :-

-C:\Windows\system32\BrO_AcT.exe-C:\WINDOWS\default__.pif
-C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ReAct_User\svchost.exe
-C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ReAct_User\winlogon.exe
-C:\ReActLog (Something with this name)
-NTDETCH.com (on all your drive, root folder)
-Autorun.inf (on all your drive, root folder)
-Hundreds of files in C:\System Volume -Information\_restore{7C0D0734-E9F5-4A30-ABD4-977206CFACB2}\RP411 (With name like -A0062080.com, A0062083.pif, A0062092.exe and etc)
-C:\WINDOWS\system32\MySexy.exe
-C:\WINDOWS\system32\regedit.com
-C:\WINDOWS\system32\msconfig.com

It also will copy itself to any portable USB drive connected to the infected system and creating:-
->Autorun.innf
->BrO_AcT.exe
->My_SeXy.exe

and the USB drive will autorun anytime you connect it to the system. "THIS IS THE WAY HOW THE VIRUS SPREAD".


6) How Do I Get Rid of BrO_Act.exe ?

Update your anti-virus with latest virus definition. As far as I know :-

Nod32 AV - not detect, system infected
BitDefender 10 - not detect, system infected
McAfee - not detect, system infected

Avira - detected as Worm/VB.DH.1
AVG 7.5 Pro - detected as W32/VB
Kapersky - detected as Win32.VB.DH


I hope this little info will help you to eliminate this annoying virus.

Life Without High Speed

Was it just a few short years ago that life on the internet began to take on a life of its own?
Was it just a few short years ago that I thought that a 2GB hard drive would be all I?d ever need?

Well, in terms of the internet, it probably seems like a long time, but in actual fact, I purchased my computer in 1997, just 10 years ago.

I thought I had all the bells and whistles, I was pretty proud of my new machine. I logged online and learned how to surf and how to chat and how to do internet marketing.
Flash forward ten years and I am still surfing and still doing internet marketing, but I have encountered a problem, which is beginning to be a major problem for me and many others like me. I HAVE DIAL-UP!

Everyone seems to be going to video and audio streaming, which leaves me sitting like a dork at my computer wondering what is going to happen and when. I get stuttering voices and pictures on hold and I wait 20 minutes for a video to load which then takes about 60 seconds when it finally makes it.

The cards that you can send to your friends have flash cartoons. Try that on dial-up! Again, you wait and wait to see if it is something you want to send to your friend. By the time it loads you could have gone to the store, purchased a real card, attached the postage and mailed it out.
When I first started on the internet, everything was text based and underneath the pictures there was a description, so you could actually surf with the graphics off and turn them on when you wanted to see something. Speed driving for those of us with dial-up. Cruising? the internet highway?.yeah man.

Not anymore. Voices start stuttering as soon as you start loading a page and there is no shut off box. So, you end up having to make a choice?.sit and wait for the page to load to see if it is something you want to really listen to, or close the page. Who knows, perhaps that page had the information you needed to change your life, but it took tooooooo long to load.
I realize that high speed is the way to go, and man I love it when I download at the office or at my boyfriend?s place. 5MB is a BIG file for me to download at home and forget about downloading any of the MP3 files. For anything over the 5MB I send a link to my boyfriend?s email and then when I am at his house I download and put it on my stick.

Remember that 2GB hard drive I had back in 1997? Well now I have a 2GB stick for transferring documents. Wow. Who would have thought it would come to this.
I don't plan to give up yet. I still have hopes that high speed will reach me someday soon....either that or maybe I'll move somewhere that has high speed, but that would mean giving up my 2 acres in the country. Hmmm, a hard choice.

My new computer is loaded up with 300 GB of hard drive, a CD/DVD burner, a floppy drive, a USB port, a good video card, cool blue lights and dual processor. I continue to do internet marketing, am continuously working on my webpages, and I am still waiting for high speed to come to me. However I live in a rural area and the cost of the satellite systems hasn?t come down enough yet for me to choose that route. So until then I will surf the best I can and download at my boyfriend?s place.
