LiveCD for beginner..Give it a try

Have you ever tried Linux Operating System ? Most of us are afraid to try this OS because a lot of people say that its hard to configure. And the hardest part is when configuring partition during installation(for me). Of course its hard because we have to create new partition with new file format. Windows using fat32 and NTFS for file format while Linux using either Ext2, Ext3 of ReiserFs and have Swap partition.

Nowadays, there are new way to run Linux on your computer without installation on your hard drive that contain windows OS. The people behind Linux OS have come up with new idea to make sure that everyone can try Linux even without installation the OS.Its called "LiveCD".

Based on Wikipedia, LiveCD or LiveDistro is an operating system that is executed upon boot, without installation on hard drive. Basically,we understand that liveCD allow us to run Linux OS from CD-rom without having to install it.

By having this LiveCD, everyone can run Linux OS on their computer. LiveCD is exactly the same as real Linux OS.You can learn the command available in Linux, 2 available interfaces which is KDE and GNOME, multimedia and many more. For a computer student,it is a must to know Linux OS.

There are few benefits of using LiveCD :-
-Do not have to be installed
-Do not alter your current operating system.
-Come will small size but very powerful.
-Give us overview of Linux OS.
-Learn Basic application available on Linux
-Learn to use command prompt.
-The detection of hardware component is fascinating without you configured by yourself.

So far, i have tried a lot of LiveCDs based on different Linux distribution like SLAX(slackware-based), Ubuntu(Debian-based), FreeSBIE(FreeBSD), Knoppix, Elive and many more. All i can say is, they are cool. Very nice.
