FOMA F1100 Cell Phone with Fingerprint Sensor

Mobile reviewsFujitsu FOMA F1100 is not the first cell phone that adopts AuthenTec’s fingerprint readering technology for securing the data stored in the handset; Asus was the first to use the AES1710 module for the M356 Smartphone, but it is though the first model released by NTT DoCoMo to feature Windows Mobile 6 operating system and the fingerprint sensor.

It is important for a Smartphone to have this protection layer enabled because of the mobile commerce transaction types used by business professionals.
In Japan, FOMA F1100 users will have access to Mobile Office documents, HSDPA high-speed transfers, built-in camera for pictures, microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IP telephony, and a large 2.6-inch QVGA touch-sensitive display.

Mobile reviews“Fujitsu has demonstrated its market leadership with the introduction of their first fingerprint-enabled Windows Mobile phone,” declared AuthenTec Chairman and CEO Scott Moody. “We have had a long and successful relationship with Fujitsu because of our ability to consistently provide the latest innovations in fingerprint sensors to enhance the user experience, the reliability of our TruePrint technology, and our proven ability to deliver in very high volumes. The feature-packed FOMA F1100 is another outstanding example of an innovative mobile phone that leverages the Power of Touch features of an AuthenTec sensor.”
