LG KF510

LG mobile phone
LG are pretty excited about the LG KF510 handset announced at this years Mobile World Congress, so much so that they announced it a few days early.

Now that LG have release full details of the KF510 we can see that it's an attractive slider device with features that very much put it into the "fashion phone" category.

Since a lot of the KF510's appeals are its looks, then lets start there. The handset is primarily constructed of metal and glass, with a gradated paint job on the front that gives it a distinctive look. The primary control keys are touch sensitive, with a fairly standard LG numeric keypad underneath. At 10.9mm thick, the LG KF510 is a pretty slim device.

LG KF510 The display is a 2.2" 240 x 320 pixel panel, and LG have included a light sensor on the front (it looks like a video calling camera, but isn't). The sensor allows the KF510's screen brightness to adjust depending on ambient lighting conditions.

On the back is a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash. The KF510 also has Bluetooth, a USB connection and accepts microSD memory cards.

This is a nice looking phone, but we're a little doubtful about the touch-sensitive pad.. although hopefully LG have learned from the Chocolate which had a nasty habit of deleting all the contacts accidentally.

The LG KF510 is a tri-band GSM phone supporting GPRS and EDGE data, but not 3G. Physically it measures 105 x 50 x 11mm, but LG haven't specified weight or battery life.

LG say that the KF510 will be available from March 2008 onwards in Stardust Dark Gray and Sunset Red colour schemes.
